The clamp consists of the following 2 parts:
– The branch-clamp body is made of high-strength aluminum/aluminum alloy and is connected to the aluminum conductor with hot-dip galvanized bolts or stainless-steel bolts.
– The copper stirrup is made of high-strength tin-plated copper/copper alloy, or of tin-plated copper or copper alloy, for connection to the hot-line clamp. The contact interface between the aluminum body and copper stirrup must be treated with a bimetallic material.
Application: The stirrup clamp is a connector used in electrical networks. It creates a branch point from a transmission network to a distribution network.
