The insulated tension joint sleeve is a 1-sleeve type used on each individual core of a 4-core low-voltage twisted aluminum cable with 0,6/1kV XLPE insulation, designated [LV.ABC], of the self-supporting type. Its construction is as follows:
- Made of insulated aluminum or aluminum alloy
- The insulation is made of insulating plastic that is resistant to ultraviolet radiation, cracking, aging and corrosion, and is suitable for reliable operation in tropical, marine and industrially polluted environments… The insulation is not damaged during compression jointing.
- The aluminum sleeve must be prefilled with anti-oxidation electrical compound.
